I recently had the privilege of leading a group of master healers on a transformative meditation retreat to the beautiful Jeju Island. Over nine days, from September 19th to 28th, we focused on attuning our bodies and minds, immersing ourselves in deep introspection, and indulging in the island’s stunning natural beauty.
Our itinerary was thoughtfully curated to balance inner work with outer exploration. We engaged in daily meditation and yoga practices, aligning our sessions with the rhythms of sunrise, high noon, and sunset; we also learned how to make our wishes come true using manifestation meditation. Two enriching spiritual seminars delved into topics such as the existence of different dimensions, the role of spirituality in navigating family dynamics, and methods for connecting with loved ones who have passed.
The retreat also offered a range of informative workshops, covering healing basics like cleansing stones and sage, creating Reiki boxes for manifestation, and utilizing the phurba in healing rituals. Upon arrival at our serene Muwi Space accommodations, we held an impromptu house energizing session to cleanse and bless the space for our stay. Other hands-on workshops included herb picking in the garden and crafting our own sage smudge sticks.
Throughout the retreat, we nourished ourselves with wholesome, plant-based gourmet meals, with the exception of a special lunch and dinner where we enjoyed a delicious seafood feast featuring local octopus and fish dishes. As I’ve often emphasized, a vegetarian diet supports optimal meditation practice, and Jeju’s vibrant vegetarian cuisine, complemented by the iconic kimchi, delighted even the most ardent meat-lovers in our group.
Jeju’s breathtaking landscapes provided a stunning backdrop for our mindfulness practices. We explored the majestic Songak Mountain, immersed ourselves in the lush forests of Gotjawal National Park, and found tranquility walking along Hyupjae Beach. One memorable evening, we gathered around a campfire under a starlit sky, sharing stories and a delicious barbecue dinner.
Overall, the retreat was a truly holistic experience, nurturing mind, body, and soul. We arrived on Jeju Island with open hearts and left feeling deeply fulfilled and rejuvenated. The entire journey unfolded seamlessly, in harmony with the universe.
Until our next adventure…
